The superintendent of grounds will function as the control officer for Physical Plant Grounds.
Operational Procedures & Service Guide
The purpose of the Grounds Department is to provide for the upkeep and aesthetics of the outdoor environment on campus, in university housing areas, at the Small Business Incubator (Dunn-Richmond Center), and at the Carterville campus, with an emphasis on providing a safe, attractive and accommodating environment for the University community. The Grounds Department also provides other types of services described on this site.
Priorities for Grounds General Maintenance
The primary obligation of the Grounds Department is to provide support services to the academic community. The priorities for general maintenance needs and emergency situations will be as follows:
- Academic and administrative areas
- University housing
- Outlying areas
